Are you looking for a new and exciting experience for the teenager in your life? Consider a session at Chop Point, it is a summer they will cherish and remember for a lifetime. Chop Point is a place where teens can come, learn new skills, enjoy friendships that will last a lifetime and feel like they are part of a giant family. Campers gain so much from a experience at camp. After a session at camp, kids left camp more confident in their abilities, skills, and relationships. [Psychology Today wrote about the many benefits of summer camp as well as NBC News recently featured an article about a how a summer camp experience helps prepare you for college.]
A Fantastic Summer Program
We offer lots of activities for teenagers to enjoy during there stay; there is something for everyone to do and enjoy, including basketball, volleyball, soccer, arts and crafts, drama, photography, sailing, kayaking, swimming, tennis, and plenty more. Campers choose their own schedule and they can fill their day with the activities they want to do. This allows them freedom and the ability to start making their own choices in a supportive environment.
Perfect Mix of Free Time and Awesome Activities
Campers are also given free time during the day to hang out with friends playing pool or ping pong in the lodge, sitting in a group with other campers and counselors talking and making friends. Many like to spend free time on the docks, swimming, or going out on a sail boat. Of course they can always jump into an activity that is going and join a game of ultimate Frisbee, soccer or basketball game.
Adventures of a Lifetime
Campers can also choose to go on adventure or sightseeing trips during their stay. We offer trips for all different skill levels and interests.
- Short canoeing and kayak trips that leave right from camp, perfect for the camper new to trips.
- 4-5 day canoe trips out on the Allagash or St Criox rivers in northern Maine.
- Sightseeing to Quebec or Boston and an overnight sailing trip on the Maine coast.
- Hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire or Baxter State Park in Northern Maine.
- Biking trips to the Carrabassett Valley for mountain biking and a new trip along the Sunrise trail in eastern Maine.
Most trips are included in the price of camp. These excursions offer a great way to see the beauty of New England and challenge yourself at the same time.

Just Ask Our Campers
Here is a quick testimonial from one of our former campers. She left it on our website and she does a great job summing up the Chop Point experience.
“This past summer at Chop Point was the highlight of the summer and most definitely one of the best summers of my life. The campers, the counselor, the environment, they all make up Chop Point and make it so very special. It was extremely hard to say good bye, but i know I’ll be back next summer. The last night, the camp fire and it all just hit me. This is the last night at Chop Point. I had spent 3 amazing weeks at this place and now I had to step back and return to reality. All the words said that night, touched my heart so very much. God is a large part of my life since Chop Point. I’m so glad you taught me that God created so many beautiful places for us, that he didn’t have to but he did. I have learned to appreciate the small things in life and help others around me. I know I’m a better, more confident me because of Chop Point. This place, this wonderful place gave me some of the best things in the world. My experience at Chop Point was never expected to be like this. I love it here. Chop Point isn’t just a summer camp, it’s my home.” – Daniela
